Fans of Rankin, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and luxe punk label Thomas Wylde will be in raptures over new photography exhibition and beautifully conceived coffee table tome, Ten Times Rosie.
The collaboration between Rankin and Paula Thomas, former model turned designer, celebrates 10 seasons of her cutting edge label.
Rankin had previously shot Rosie for Wylde's SS09 'Never Mind the Bollocks' campaign: "We just fell in love with her and were so blown away by the images that we decided to do a full-on project," says Paula.
"I said Rosie should do a book with Paula as she's the perfect muse for the brand," Rankin told me. "She's very ballsy, very mouthy and very funny. You wouldn't want to mess with her or you might find yourself getting a right hook," he laughs.
The development and pre-production stage took three or four months and Rankin maintains that apart from dramas and feature films, it was more pre-produced than anything he has ever done! The nine day shoot took place in Los Angeles this spring.
The above image is taken from, the Andalusian story from Paula's SS08 collection and marked the first day of the shoot. Paula borrowed the stallion, Marqués, from her friend Rhea who's married to the son of director, Ridley Scott.
