Covent Garden success story Dirty Martini is heading west this month with the launch of a brand new sister venue in Hanover Square a stone’s throw from the Condé Nast engine room.
As one might expect, martinis feature heavily on the menu – all of which are made to order – and star turns include the Hey-Berry Martini – Zubrovka vodka and Chambord shaken with fresh raspberries, mint and pressed apple juice and the Chocolate Martini – Absolut vanilla vodka, Frangelico hazelnut liqueur and crème de cacao shaken with cream and cocoa.
However, that’s just the tip of the ice-cube. Punters can also sip on Hanover Fizz – Plymouth gin, Plymouth sloe gin, Creme de Mure and lemon juice topped off with Prosecco) and the Pink Daisy –Olmeca Reposado Tequila combined with lemon juice and raspberry syrup.
There are even lo-call versions such as the Skinny Passion Fruit Mojito – Havana Club, fresh passion fruit and lime juice crushed together with mint, ice, soda water and a touch of sugar or the Skinny Watermelon Martini – Vodka crushed with fresh watermelon, sugar syrup and lemon juice and Agave nectar syrup – both weighing in at under 125kcal.
Decadent interiors decorated with vibrant artwork and bespoke spirit cabinets are divided into four distinct spaces: the Martini Lounge (where groups can order from a range of Cocktail Fountains served with a flourish directly to the table), the Main Bar, the Tunnel for private parties, the intimate Vault area and even the Bed – perfect for taking the weight off those Louboutins.
Opens 16 November
