Almeida is Angel and Islington’s finest neighbourhood restaurant, a hidden gem situated just off Upper Street directly opposite the iconic Almeida Theatre.

The main restaurant is a light, sophisticated and airy dining room with floor-to-ceiling French doors that allow light to flood in, while the semi-open kitchen lets you see what’s going on behind the scenes. The menus, created by head chef Alan Jones, focus on seasonal, simple and fresh flavours, cooked with the influences of classic French cooking but with a modern touch. The restaurant offers a variety of menus include pre- and post-theatre; Petits Plats (available at the bar, for those with less time who want smaller dishes); full A La Carte, Menu du Jour and a Sunday Brunch/ Lunch menu.

Almeida’s private dining rooms provide an ideal venue for an intimate dinner, corporate event or special occasion. The private dining room can seat up to 20 and the sunken room (pictured) can seat 10 or accommodate up to 30 for a standing reception.
