November 2011 saw London’s most anticipated launch take place when the eagerly awaited Dorsia opened its hallowed doors to great excitement. Located in a classic Georgian town house in the heart of South Kensington (3 Cromwell Road), the exclusive new members club saw royalty to rock star celebrate its launch with gusto. Named after the fictional restaurant in the cult film American Psycho, Dorsia is the brainchild of Nick Andreen and Fraser Carruthers.
Dorsia is split into three fundamental floors. The entire lower ground floor is devoted to hedonistic dance and fun with a club enclosed within. Ground floor opens up into a stunning bar, with the first floor holding both bar and restaurant (the restaurant of which is open to both members and public.)
Located at 3 Cromwell Road, Dorsia will undoubtedly tap into the energy of a building that has itself enjoyed the most hedonistic of pasts. Previously known as the Hudson Club, it was here that Jimi Hendrix played his first UK concert and where Tom Jones celebrated his first number one in 1966. Allegedly, it was also the last place Lord Lucan was seen alive.
