Having opened its doors to the public earlier this year Paramount restaurant and bar (Centre Point, 101–103 New Oxford Street, London WC1A 1DD) has established itself as one of London’s most acclaimed venues for discerning guests. Occupying the top three floors of one of the city’s most iconic buildings, Centre Point, Paramount offers unparalleled 360-degree views across London. British interior designer Tom Dixon has created a stylish and boldly designed space that reflects architect Richard Seifert’s sophisticated but modernist design of the Centre Point building, the key features of which are a grand copper bar, vintage furniture pieces and low mood lighting to set off the breathtaking views.

Paramount features an events space on the 31st floor, a restaurant, private dining room and bar on the 32nd floor which is available for breakfast meetings, lunches, dinners as well as all-day meetings.

The events space on Level 31 is a 4,550 square foot unique space with a 10-metre-long bar facing west that has been designed specifically for private events – dinners, screenings, meetings, launches and presentations. It is able to accommodate 450 people standing or 150 seated. State of the art audio visual facilities are available for screenings, presentations, video conferencing, live music and after parties. Additionally, Level 31 has a wedding and 24 hour license.

Heading up the restaurant is head chef Colin Layfield, who serves a predominantly Modern European menu with immaculately presented ingredients. Dishes on the À la carte menu include: Five Spice Monkfish, Braised Boeuf Bourguignon, Jerusalem Artichoke & Truffle Risotto and Seasonal Game Dish. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner from Monday to Saturday as well as offering brunch on Saturday. Meanwhile, the mixologists create a range of exquisite cocktails, including champagne and retro classics such as the forgotten 1930’s Delmonico cocktail, a Wet Martini dried with a splash of Cognac and a lemon twist.

In spring 2011 Paramount will be launching a new Oyster, Caviar and Champagne bar in the Viewing Gallery on the 33rd floor.
