Owned by Michael Benyan and Mark Sainsbury, The Zetter Hotel in Clerkenwell opened in 2004 to rave reviews and a slew of awards. Known for its distinctive style and personality as much as its affordable price tag, The Zetter’s retro interior marries the original fabric of a Victorian warehouse with a contemporary, yet quintessentially English, use of pattern and textiles. The Zetter Hotel has 59 bedrooms, a dramatic Atrium bar and 2 private event rooms. On the ground floor, with panoramic views of St John’s Square, sits the critically acclaimed (named 3rd Best Restaurant in the UK at National Restaurant Awards) and wildly popular Bistrot Bruno Loubet, which notably also caters for all Zetter’s private events.
The Zetter Townhouse, is located just across the cobbles of St John’s Square from the original hotel and is the new 13 bedroom Georgian townhouse and cocktail lounge that everyone is talking about. With sumptuous interiors by Russsell Sage, its like the private home of The Zetter Hotel’s eccentric ancestor. There are 2 spectacular suites, a games room, private dining rooms and the ground floor cocktail lounge is an exciting collaboration between The Zetter and the creators of the award winning 69 Colebrooke Row. Stuffed full of oddities and curios, with an open fire crackling in the grate and an apothecary style bar serving tinctures and remedies made potent it is a fantastical feast for the senses.
The Zetter Townhouse is also available to hire exclusively, upon application.
