
The Platinum Jubilee, aka our four day bumper bank holiday, is this week (eek!) and we’re certain you’ll be searching for ways to celebrate in the utmost fashion. If you’re to celebrate the Queen’s momentous 70-year reign, we’ve rounded up the best Jubilee events going on in the city, from dedicated exhibitions charting the royal’s jewellery from the 18th century to present day to the Tower of London’s moat transformation.
Jubilee celebrations at Battersea Power Station
From live performances and screenings from around the world to outdoor games for all of the family, Battersea Power Station is going all out this Jubilee. Not only will it be the official first central London destination visited by the Birmingham 2022 Queen’s Baton Relay on 2nd June, but the iconic central destination will be serving up all of the British vibes to celebrate the Queen’s momentous achievements.
Expect free outdoor activities from ping pong and croquet to Imagination Playground that’ll be returning with their interactive big blue blocks to keep the kids entertained, while on the food front there’ll be street food trucks and pop-ups from the likes of Tapas Brindisa, Cinnamon Kitchen, Wright Brothers, Roti King, Vagabond Wines and Tonkotsu.
To mark the arrival of the four Baton Bearers placing the Baton into the podium on the stage, Battersea Power Station Community Choir will be performing a special musical number.

Superbloom at Tower of London
Paying homage to the Queen’s 70 year reign, the Tower of London will be transformed into a superbloom, with over 20 million seeds sown in the famous moat.
Available to see from June 1st through to September, the Superbloom is designed to attract pollinators and create a stunning urban natural space to celebrate nature to its fullest. Expect soft green hues in June before they become whites, blues, pinks and oranges in the height of the summer and into September.
Visitors are able to grab a mat and slide down into the moat on their special Superbloom slide and follow the path through the glorious display, weaving through nature and history alike. There’ll be special sculptures and sound installations dotted around too.
Mayfair’s Jubilee Celebrations
Fancy dining at a 200ft banqueting table? Well now you can thanks to Mayfair’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations! On Thursday 2nd and Friday 3rd, the iconic North Audley Street will be taken over by the giant table making space for everyone to celebrate the historic occasion.
Expect special menus and celebratory cocktails from some of London’s top restaurants, from The Connaught Patisserie’s special pink ice cream cart that’ll be parked on the street to Roka Mayfair’s takeaway sushi boxes, cocktails from The Beaumont Hotel to catch of the day from The Mayfair Chippy.

Platinum Jubilee Pageant
The pièce de résistance of the whole weekend will of course be Her Majesty The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Pageant, telling the story of her 70-year reign and the transforming landscape.
It’ll be split into four segments, opening with a military spectacle and finishing around the Queen Victoria Memorial in front of Buckingham Palace, and will be aired on BBC One for all to watch and celebrate The Queen.

Jubilee Corgi Cafe
Launching on Saturday 29th May, the UK’s first ever Corgi Cafe will be landing at Drake & Morgan’s The Refinery at Bankside venue. The whole day is packed out with pooch friendly activities, welcoming corgis of all sizes, cross-breeds and ages and their human friends to come together to celebrate The Queen and the special doggos.
The Refinery at Bankside will be completely taken over for the 80 minute ‘off lead’ social experience. It’ll be complete with free Pupuccinos from the famous Pop + Bark Puppuccino Bar, Jubilee pupcakes and treats from Rudi’s The Doggy Bakery, free professional photos of your dog that can be downloaded after the event, and even a designated ‘chill zone’ for nervous or older Corgis and guests.
Corgi Boutique by The Crafty Dog Co will be on hand with all of the latest dog accessories to purchase too. Plus, there’ll also be access to secret guest-only doggy discounts and freebies with every booking to the event.

Jubilee events at Seven Dials
Celebrating all things 1950s, from stretching classes through to ‘50s themed haircuts, royal afternoon teas and Queen-themed nail art pop-ups, Seven Dials is the place to head.
With events taking place all over the bumper bank holiday, there’s something for everyone at this neighbourhood London destination.
A few activities include… On Thursday 2nd take part in a flower crown workshop before heading for afternoon tea at Covent Garden Hotel. On Saturday 4th, you’ll find Skinnydip’s story offering themed manicures helping you to add some bling to your nails, while on Friday 3rd, Stretch inc invites you down for a 50s themed class.

‘The Queens Head’ Jubilee Pub Pod
The lastminute.com London Eye is taking it back to the 1950s with their Jubilee celebrations. Honouring Her Majesty, they’ve transformed one of their pods into ‘The Queen’s Head’, transporting Londoners back to Coronation Day in the form of a traditional pub knees up.
The pod, available until September, will be bedecked with vintage bunting and decor, royal memorabilia from the big day, a photo gallery of the Queen’s years in service and of course a traditional pub dartboard.
Grab a seat and sip on the Queen’s favourite tipple 135m in the air.

Zoobilee at London Zoo
Even London Zoo is hosting a roar-some Platinum Jubilee celebration! From 28th May until 5th June, the renowned zoo will be celebrating with family-friendly activities, from eco-friendly crafts to a royal treasure hunt.
Head down and take part in the Zoobilee street party where wild teddy bears are invited to join the biggest picnic in town, complete with Q&As with zookeepers and even strolls on their animal walk. They’ll be offering British inspired food, from garden picnic snacks to sandwiches, sausage rolls and Pimm’s for the adults.

Sotheby’s Jubilee Arts Festival
Sotheby’s is celebrating with a month-long festival dedicated to the arts. Expect exhibitions and events nodding to Her Majesty The Queen, including royal trails for the kids, musical workshops, expert talks and more. There’ll also be a special exhibition showcasing the jewellery worn by the royals since the late 18th century.

From waving the Union Jack and singing the national anthem to delving into the punk era of Jubilee’s past, Southbank Centre is throwing every angle at their Jubilee celebrations.
Head down to the Elizabeth Hall and create punk songs and music that channel your inner anarchist in their family-friendly theatre production, Punk Alley, or catch the royal celebrations on the screen with a screening of the BBC Concert Orchestra. There’ll be parties for the little ones going on all weekend too, as well as panel discussions and live music.
