The Petersham Hotel

Watching the deer flock by in Richmond Park is always a good idea. But with the weather being as temperamental as the UK’s is, it’s nice to have the comfort of somewhere cosy inside. That’s why we’re lusting over The Petersham Hotel’s penthouse suite with its beautiful views over the River Thames and Petersham Meadows.

Its famous view has been captured by many artists along the way including JMW Turner and it’s been protected by an Act of Parliament since 1902. Interiors wise, the suite is abrim with luxury, classic furnishings and is a sure spot you’ll happily find us whiling away our weekends.

You can guarantee you’ll bag yourself the best seat in the house, maybe even London, when you settle in for a night at the London Marriott Hotel County Hall.

Slotted right on the South Bank, the hotel boasts views over the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben and of course, the River Thames. Our favourite suite has to be the ‘Big Ben view guest room’ that, as the name suggests, has twinkling views overlooking Big Ben, and its interiors feel strikingly British with red and white tones adorning the room. We’d happily spend our day reclining in the chaise lounge sofa watching London’s busy streets go by.
