TĪNG Restaurant

TĪNG Restaurant never disappoints on their afternoon tea front. Each is crafted to perfection, with every small detail and element finessed and beautifully presented. And their new Alpine tea is no different. Book in for the wintry tea that’s filled with freshly made savoury bakes and scones, alongside Austrian inspired pastries, including Sachertorte and Black Forest Gâteaux.

TĪNG Restaurant will be stretching out the festive season a little bit longer than usual, as their alpine inspired tea runs until the end of February!

Corinthia London

With its Baccarat crystal chandelier, piano melodies and Richard Brendon hand-painted china, you’ll struggle to find a prettier afternoon tea setting than Corinthia London. 

The hotel has recently launched its festive afternoon tea, designed and created by its talented team of pastry chefs. Expect to be tucking into sandwiches of roast turkey, stuffing, cranberry and watercress, before feasting on spiced pear mousse with cha chantilly; almond and lemon chocolate rocks; and a chestnut-cassis tartlet. All enjoyed while singing along to your favourite festive melodies in the background.

Jean-Georges at The Connaught

The Connaught is a hotel that keeps on giving. And their festive tea is no different. Book in for a slice of the cake this year and expect to be tucking into a selection made by Jean-Georges. There’ll be truffle egg sandwiches; scones with spiced orange marmalade and Cornish clotted cream; a candied nut and honey mousse with almond sponge and candied ginger; and an almond tart with blackberry cream and chestnut puree.

Peggy Porschen x The Lanesborough

Afternoon tea never looked so pretty and festive. Continuing their popular partnership, Peggy Porschen and The Lanesborough have crafted an adorable festive version of their afternoon tea, filled with Peggy’s signature fairytale pink aesthetic. 

Sandwiches of Christmas turkey and stuffing; roast beef and horseradish cream, and honey roast pumpkin and brie will feature. Alongside charming florals and pastels that accompany the sweet bites. There’ll be a jolly gingerbread cupcake; frangipane and mince pie tartlet; and even a cranberry Christmas pavlova. 

Wash it all down with their Paradis Chocolate Martini, a rich cocktail slowly shaken with Hennessy Very Special and a hint of vanilla.

The Lane

No festive season is complete without a trip to the theatre and afternoon tea. Thankfully at The Lane, you can do both.

Newbie on the block, Pan Pacific London will be bringing the magic of Christmas to The Orchid Lounge with festive editions of their afternoon teas. Both the Singaporean-inspired Kopi Tiam afternoon tea and the traditional British tea will be transformed for the yuletide season. 

Both teas will feature a selection of hand-made patisserie, coming traditional favourites with the creative influence of Asian ingredients and executive pastry chef Cherish Finden’s signature flare. Expect ‘The Night Before Christmas’, a lemon shortbread and passion fruit caramel; ‘Christmas Tree’, a pistachio mousse with financier and sour cherry compote; and a ;gift from Santa’, made up of spicy clementine mousse and citrus peel Victoria sponge.

The Rubens Hotel

Pastry chef and finalist in 2021 Bake Off: The Professionals, Sarah Houghton has crafted an afternoon experience you won’t want to miss. It incorporates fresh twists in a festive journey, while still paying homage to the long-standing English tradition. 

The afternoon tea fun doesn’t stop at the food either. This special one is complete with bottomless mulled wine, perfect for warming your cockles this winter. Vegetarian, Vegan, Gluten-Free and Halal options are all available too, making it the perfect option for all guests.

The Chesterfield Mayfair

After opening their doors to the public at the weekend for the first time with the launch of their brand-new afternoon tea with Searcys back in September, 116 Pall Mall will be offering a special Christmas tea this festive season, abrim with cakes, éclairs and macarons, all expertly paired with Champagne. You won’t want  to miss the two 14ft Christmas trees located at the bottom of the grand staircase either…

The Relais Henley
