CBD was 2019’s buzzword, but as we’ve entered a new year and a new decade, it’s time to officially get on board. The wonder product can help everything from sleep to pain and even help you focus, so if it’s yet to take up residence in your beauty and wellness arsenal, now’s the time to make space.

Despite CBD being relatively new, the market is saturated. With thousands of products available and brands promising to deliver miracle cures, choosing one can be a minefield. One brand that we love and trust is CBII – the formulations are premium, the science backed and the packing looks pretty damn good on your nightstand.

Intrigued to try for yourself? Here’s everything you need to know about CBD…

1. It won’t get you high

If you’re looking to get high, CBD is not the one. In short, CBD, or cannabidiol, is one of over 100 compounds known as cannabinoids that naturally occur in the cannabis plant, or hemp, as many people refer to it.

THC is the compound that gets you high and there is only <0.2% of this found in CBD oil; so if getting blazed is on your agenda you’re not going to get your kicks with CBD.

2. But it will chill you the F out

While CBII’s CBD oils are full spectrum extracts (this basically means the oil contains all of the many cannabinoids that make it as close to the natural plant as possible), THC, the psychoactive compound, is only occurring <0.2%. This ensures the benefits of CBD oil sit more on the soothing, calming end of the spectrum.

3. It’s all above board

The connotations of cannabis often make people assume CBD might not be above board but it is all legal. Of course it is – we wouldn’t be waxing lyrical about it if it weren’t. CBII is sourced from legally grown hemp plants in the EU – they’re made in Switzerland and bottled here in the UK – resulting in the highest grade quality CBD possible.

4. It’s safe to use

CBD is much like a supplement, and like all supplements, if you’re pregnant or have any health issues you’re worried about you should consult a medical professional before consuming. Apart from that, CBD is totally safe to use and your body can’t overdose on it – it simply expels what it doesn’t need.

5. It’s easy to add into your routine

CBII’s oil is ingested on the tongue – simply place 1-6 drops depending on preferred dosage and strength of the oil under the tongue and let it dissolve. Some people prefer to take it in the morning to focus them for the day, some prefer it before bed to help them sleep. It adapts to your body’s needs so it’s important to try it out and see how best it aides you.

6. Choosing your dosage is easy

CBD isn’t a mind altering supplement and as we said before, you can’t OD on it. But it is important to know how much to take to best help your own body. For those new to the CBD game, CBII suggest going with the CBD 100mg oil. Those after something a little stronger – say something that might help them get to sleep at night – should upgrade to 200mg and then for extra strength that could help with something like pain relief, 500mg is recommended.
