From food festivals to wild experiences you won’t find anywhere else in the world, we’ve handpicked a selection of our favourite top foodie events to book. 

Taste Of London

Prepare yourselves for five days of feasting this June as Taste of London returns to the capital for another year. Taking over Regent’s Park, the major food event will bring all of London’s best restaurants to one place. Expect pop-ups from Around The Cluck, Brindisa, Cinnamon Club, Hoppers, Juici Jerk and The Zetter Townhouse. 

As well as sampling street food style plates from restaurants, there’ll be various bars, including partnerships with Grey Goose, Italicus Aperitivo and Champagne Laurent-Perrier, as well as demonstrations from big food names too.

Fancy being suspended high in the sky from a crane? Of course, you do…

London in the Sky

Fancy being suspended high in the sky from a crane? Of course, you do… London in the Sky returns to the city next month, offering Londoners a once in a lifetime opportunity to dine 100ft in the air. 

Join the ‘flight’ with 21 other guests as you prepare to be lifted into the sky. Expect breathtaking views over the capital alongside food and drinks curated by some of London’s top chefs and mixologists.

River Cottage

If you’ve always thought about joining Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall and his team on one of their cooking expeditions, make this summer the year you finally book in for a weekend experience. 

Based at their organic smallholding in Devon, the team hosts an array of cooking courses, foraging workshops and intimate dinners, as well as online courses available to those who can’t make it down to the farm. Learn the ins and outs of farm life, from how to build a cob oven to beekeeping, the art of fermentation to seashore foraging. 

For those wanting a longer course, they host a great four-day cookery course, covering everything from butchery demonstrations to veg cookery sessions with Hugh himself.

Pub In The Park

Pub In The Park is a go! Tom Kerridge and his chef-y friends are going back on tour this summer and they just keep adding more and more locations each year. 

Largely a foodie festival with some huge culinary names doing talks and cooking workshops, as well as exciting food stands popping up at every corner too.

Expect music across the tour from the likes of  Craig David TS5, Beverly Knight, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Faithless, Soul II Soul, Bjorn Again and more, along with chefs Tom Kerridge, Simon Rimmer, James Martin, Matt Tebbutt, Grace Dent  and Andi Oliver.

One for the meat lovers, Meatopia is London’s annual food festival dedicated to the fire-cooking lovers. The weekend event brings together over 60 top chefs from around the world to each cook one dish that’s exclusively made over sustainably-sourced wood and charcoal. 

Championing sustainable sourced ingredients, the three-day event sees chefs tackle the challenge hands on so you can expect some really incredible flavour pairings, unique cooking methods and smokey tips to take home. Alumni chefs include Francis Mallmann, Niklas Ekstedt, Fergus Henderson, Bryan Furman and Yotam Ottolenghi.

Le Cordon Bleu

Carousel might host mega chef takeovers, workshops and masterclasses from top chefs all year round but we couldn’t not include them in this round-up because there’s no doubt going to be some big names cropping up this summer. 

Their new Fitzrovia home is open, meaning there’s more opportunity to learn from the experts and sample some of the best revolutionary cooking from big name chefs from all around the world. Carousel announces their events monthly but we’re already excited to see who will be making their way come summer. 

Right now you can book for April. Expect takeovers from NYC’s Popina, Bordeaux’s Alice Arnoux, Helsinki’s Ina Niiniketo and Barcelona’s METL.

Hunter Gather Cook

We’re all about stripping cooking back to the basics, and here to help us reconnect with nature and guide us on our way is Hunter Gather Cook, the foraging and cookery school based in East Sussex. They have two locations, each with courses to teach you how to identify, process and cook a range of wild plants and animals. 

There’s a selection of seasonal day courses to choose from, including butchery, wild food walks, wild cocktail workshops, fire workshops and funghi woodland walks. Plus, there’s the opportunity to learn how to use clay ovens and hot smoking.
