8 Film & TV Locations You Can Actually Airbnb

Witness your favourite film and TV scenes come to life as you stay in some of the best Airbnbs on the market.
From Villanelle’s boujee Barcelona apartment to Bella Swan’s humble home from Twilight, Marianne’s family holiday home in Italy to Tony Stark’s rural cabin from Avengers: Endgame, here’s eight film and TV locations you can actually stay in.
Killing Eve
Killing Eve, the BBC hit comedy-cum-phychologial-thriller, continues to steal the hearts of the nation three seasons later.
The show sees Jodie Comer play assassin Villanelle, and Eve Polanski, played by Sandra Oh, on a three season adventure of what can only be described as a funny, suspenseful and risque show, documenting the lives of two individuals who are equally as obsessed with one another.
But it’s not only the amazing acting and gripping storyline that keeps viewers coming back for more each season, it’s the memorable fashion looks that Villanelle is seen strutting in and the globetrotting locations that are flung at us every episode. Season three saw Villanelle living in a gorgeous apartment in Barcelona and it’s now available to rent on Airbnb. Described as an ‘Art Nouveau’ flat, the two bedroom apartment is beautiful from its original 1906 ceiling details to its open-plan architectural design, which when it was first built was extremely unusual. Live out your Villanelle dreams as you stay at this trendy apartment.

Normal People
Normal People has defined a generation, or at the very least, it’s defined lockdown.
The BBC adaptation of Sally Rooney’s novel, Normal People, has helped to bring two young actors to the forefront of the nation’s hearts during lockdown, providing a sense of light relief during this pandemic since arriving on our screens in late April. We fell in love with Marianne and Connell, the two young and complicated lovers, as we delved deep into the inner workings of their tangled relationship. We follow their relationship from sixth form through to university, and one destination in particular which was powerful and moving was Marianne’s family holiday home in Italy. Luckily for Normal People lovers, you can now book into this location, well the two-bedroom apartment in the grounds of the villa, from as little as 40 euros per night. With a backdrop as beautiful as the Italian landscape and swimming pool, all you would need to do is close your eyes and you might even be able to imagine Connell and his gold chain are with you.

Sex Education
Fans of Netflix’s raunchy high school comedy-drama, Sex Education, will know exactly what we mean when we say that Otis’ childhood home is interiors goal.
The UK Netflix hit allowed a new depiction of teenage life come to centre focus for the first time, bringing with it an honest, if not somewhat slightly exaggerated, depiction of sexual tensions and anxieties faced by high school teenagers. We see the protagonist Otis, a high schooler, take on the role of a sexual advice therapist for his classmates thanks to the introductory help from his mum Jean who is actually an accredited sexual therapist. We instantly fall in love with their argumentative mother-son relationship and the crickety house that’s full of eccentric character.
The interiors are beautiful and chaotic, with every ounce packed with trinkets, books and colour. The Norwegian wooden house is soon to be available to rent so you can see where some of your favourite scenes were crafted.

Twilight
Every generation had a teenage romance that intrinsically helped to bound their high school years, and for me, it was Twilight.
Whether you were Team Edward or Team Jacob, the Bella-Edward-Jacob love triangle took over the lives of high school girls. From the pages of Stephenie Meyer’s novel trilogy to the filmic adaptations, there was no escaping the vampire-werewolf theatrics. A lot of the first film is heavily set in Bella Swan’s humble home, where she lived with her father Charlie Swan. This charming 1930’s house is available to rent on Airbnb so you can live out your Twilight dreams, recreating the scenes in your mind.
Set in the small neighbourhood in downtown Saint Helens, Oregon, the house actually houses five bedrooms, although the depictions in the film certainly doesn’t portray that, so it’s perfect for a family or friend group who are still as obsessed with the novel and film franchise as they were when they were teenagers.

White Lines
Live out your party island dreams at the luxurious White Lines villa.
White Lines is set in Ibiza and is centred around the body of an iconic Manchester DJ, which has been discovered 20 years after his suspicious disappearance and his sister has returned to the island to investigate what really happened. Although the show is set in Ibiza, Marcus’ house is actually in Majorca, but that doesn’t stop it from being just as beautiful.
The location sleeps up to eight guests, and is a waterfront villa home to a pool and glorious sea views. Expect private terraces, beautiful gardens and sunny spots, perfect for living out your White Lines dream.

Avengers: Endgame
Marvel fans rejoice! You can now stay in the lakeside cabin that Tony Stark, or as he likes to describe himself, “a genuis, billionaire, playboy philanthropist”, spent his days in during Endgame.
Set in the middle of Bouckaert Farm, Georgia, the rural cabin was the home of Tony Stark and the location for the funeral scene in the final Avengers movie, Avengers: Endgame. Fall in love with the cabin’s rustic features, sweeping lakeside views and rural location, and imagine what it was like to film the epic scenes from the comic book movie here.

Harry Potter
Fancy seeing one of the film locations that helped spring Emma Watson, Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint into stardom?
There’s no denying that the Harry Potter franchise showed us stunning locations across the UK and beyond in a magically new way, one being Lily and James Potter’s house in ‘Godric’s Hollow’. Of course, this little village sadly doesn’t exist but their fictional home does and it’s slotted in Suffolk. De Vere House, located in the medieval village of Lavenham, appeared in Harry Potter and is now open to guests and eager fans of the franchise to stay in for the night. Expect beamed ceilings, four poster beds and a traditional English brekkie to set you up for a day strolling around the quaint village.

Doctor Who & Sherlock Holmes
Explore the Brecon Beacons just as Sherlock Holmes did when you visit this TV location.
The Grade 2 listed Victorian gentleman residence is regularly used as a filming location. The drawing room and master bedroom suite was featured in the Sherlock episode, ‘A Scandal in Belgravia’, with Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman, and also the dining room was shown in the Doctor Who Christmas special in 2012.
Doctor Who and Sherlock Holmes fans alike can rejoice as they explore this six bedroom home, and can pretend they too are in a BBC hit show for the night. We can just imagine how great a game of murder mystery would be here.
