It appears spring decided to make an appearance just in time for the UK lockdown…
While I’m sure we’d love to be basking in the sun in one of the city’s green spaces, we’ve rounded up eight alternative ways to enjoy the weekend from the comfort of your home.
I spy you watching endless episodes of That’s So Raven and indulging in Lindsay Lohan’s greatest chick flick to date, Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen…
It’s the moment we’ve all been waiting for. Disney+ has finally launched and every single person we follow on social is posting about it right now.
If you haven’t started your seven day free trial already, what on earth are you waiting for?
Expect to find all of your favourite Disney classics, including 101 Dalmatians, Bambi and Cinderella, through to unsung new originals, including the brand new scandalous High School Musical series. We guarantee you’ll be fuelled with endless hours of reminiscing with your childhood favourites and fun.
If you’re like me, you’re finding everything that’s going on right now a bit too much to handle. Things have changed drastically in a matter of days, and while working from home is fun, being cooped up inside is starting to take its toll on my physical and mental health. If you’re feeling the same, or you’re just looking for a bit of ‘me’ time away from the kids who are tearing the house apart, we’d like to introduce you to ‘The Stay at Home Club’, the new section on the wellness app Urban.
The app has recently launched an online home that’s dedicated to live-streams, one-to-one fitness, physio, yoga and mindfulness sessions to help fight and combat your Coronavirus anxieties. Right now they’ve got an introductory offer that’s just £24 for two sessions.
Don’t threat culture lovers, you can still get cultural fixes even during these unprecedented times.
While we may have seen the temporal closure of our beloved museums over the last week, we’ve found a way for you to catch your favourite retrospectives from the comfort of your sofa. Yep, we’re waving hello to the virtual museum tour! Weave your way through some of the world’s greatest museums with the click of a button. Here are ten of our favourite ones.
In these difficult and uncertain times we’re in need of a beer more than ever! Which is why we’re head over heels with the idea of booze deliveries. We’ve handpicked the best of London’s breweries, cocktail experts and wine connoisseurs who are helping to bring you a much deserved drink during the lockdown in absolute style. Chin-chin, my dears!
All of your concerts for the foreseeable may have been cancelled, but it doesn’t mean you can’t get your groove on at home! Defected Records are back and bigger than ever to bring you house music fans a virtual festival in your living room.
Think six hours of music pumping through your speakers helping you get your live music fix. The line-up is made up of six killer DJ’s streaming live from their living rooms, including Folamour, Karizma and Melé.
While others may have postponed their releases until after things have calm down, pop hero Dua Lipa has risen above the virus and is releasing her second album Future Nostalgia, and it’s clear to see that the release certainly isn’t going to be tainted by the global pandemic.
Future Nostalgia sees the pop icon return with even bigger sounds and a whole lot more attitude. Critics have defined the album as a new wave of disco, and quite frankly, we’re all for these dance belters to push us through these trying times.
Show Solidarity For Our NHS This Evening
I think we can all agree that the NHS is doing an absolutely fantastic job at helping to fight against the Coronavirus outbreak. Every day thousands upon thousands of doctors, nurses, GPs and carers are putting their lives on the line to help do their bit to overcome the outbreak, and this evening at 8pm we are asking you to come together in support of our loving NHS and thank them for their dedication and hardwork in a nationwide round of applause.
Let’s come together and thank our NHS wholeheartedly for one big round of applause.
When: Thursday 26th March, 8pm
While you might not be able to head to your local for a pint with Gary from Accounts after a hard week of grafting, you can meet him in virtual land all thanks to Brewdog’s new Virtual Bar.
Launching Friday 27th, Brewdog will be opening their virtual doors at 6pm and welcomes you to visit their bar virtually. What’s in store for an evening of virtually drinking? You’ll be able to follow live beer tastings with Brewdog’s co-founders James and Martin, alongside other bona fide beer experts, as well as undertaking a homebrew masterclass with Martin, live music and comedy, merch giveaways and even a virtual pub quiz.
During this time of real uncertainty, it’s time to reconnect and share a beer with your pals virtually.
