Another Pantry’s Pop-Up Grocery Store
Food writer and photographer Safia Shakarchi has recently launched an exciting new recipe platform, Another Pantry. It champions the best of seasonal, slow and conscious cooking, combining recipes from the British food community that celebrate contemporary food culture.
To celebrate the launch, Another Pantry is hosting a pop-up concept grocery store at Coal Drops Yard this month. The week-long pop-up will feature independent restaurants, bakeries and British-based food branches, helping to support the hospitality industry and encourage Londoners to think more carefully about where food actually comes from.
On hand will be Merlin Labron-Johnson’s own cider from his Somerset restaurant Osip, wine and cocktails from St John Bread & wine, regeneratively grown flour from Wildfarmed, confit potatoes and pies from Quality Chop House and more. There’ll also be still life drawing on Thursday 17th and a pasta making workshop on Sunday 20th.

Yard Sale Pizza x Milk Pop-Up
Pizza specialists Yard Sale Pizza and brunch maestros Milk have teamed up to create a very special night filled with fantastic food and company.
A three-course dinner, available on Thursday 3rd and Friday 4th March, will mark the collaboration, including a limited edition pizza exclusively made for the event. Milk’s team will be preparing the starter of wild garlic and ricotta donuts, and dessert of their legendary whipped halva butter and pumpkin seed tahini banana bread.
While Yard Sale Pizza will be bringing their pizza expertise to the table with a new one-of-a-kind dish. Expect it to be topped with roasted butternut squash, marinated feta, crispy sage, pumpkin seed sale and cured egg yolk on a white base – combining the best of brunch flavours with pizza. What more could you possibly want?

Leith’s Artisan Month
This month sees London’s Leith’s School of Food & Wine mark Artisan Month, a celebration of artisan food skills where you can learn all the know-how and how-tos from the best cheese makers, chocolate specialists, meat curing masters and bread and pastry stars in the business.
Through the month, Leith’s will be hosting a series of classes and workshops, helping Londoners become pros in the kitchen. From smoking and preserving meats with River Cottage’s Steven Lamb to perfecting patisseries with Bake-Off star Edd Kimber, budding chefs are invited to roll up their sleeves, learn all of the important techniques and find their inner artisan at home.

Cinema Made In Italy
Cinema Made In Italy returns to London this March, offering Londoners the chance to discover some of the biggest and most anticipated films from Italy, as well as the chance to meet members of the cast and crew.
Running from the 3rd until 7th, the film festival will showcase films including Nanny Moretti’s Three Floors; Gabriele Mainetti’s Freaks Out; Pietro Marcello, Francesco Munzi and Alice Rohrwacher’s Futura; and Andrea Segre’s Welcome Venice.
The festival will also be honouring the Italian screen legend Monica Vitti following her recent death, by showing her classic film L’Eclisse.

Women of the World Festival
WOW – Women of the World – Festival returns to Southbank Centre this month, arriving with a series of talks and performances from world-class speakers, activists and performers from all over the world.
The celebration marks International Women’s Day on 8th March, and every year brings some of the biggest and brightest names from around the world together to speak and connect in a positive space.
This year’s line-up includes talks from content creators Grace Victory and Candice Brathewaite; an evening with co-founder of Black Lives Matter, Patrisse Cullors; a panel discussion with Lisa Taddeo and Pandora Sykes; and stand-up from Deborah Frances-White.

Yard Sale at Museum of the Home
The Museum of the Home will be hosting a yard sale this March to help support London’s homeless women and families. Taking place on Saturday 12th, Londoners are invited to head down to join designers, makers and coveted interiors brands and shop a fantastic mix of homeware goodies from Hackney-based designers. There’ll be everything from cushions and textiles to tableware and perfumes.
There’ll also be a host of talks and tours taking place throughout the day, from botanical hand-painted card making to textile damage and repairs, as well as a chance to make a Swedish toothbrush rug with Caroline Smithson of Ssōne.

Heddon Yokocho x Godzilla Pop-Up
Heddon Yokocho are going into March with a monstrous pop-up you’ll want to know about… This month sees the Mayfair restaurant taken over by the iconic Godzilla in a giant immersive movie pop-up.
Running through the month of March, Heddon Yokocho will be taken over by giant Godzilla models, retro movie posters and even over-sized footsteps, taking guests back to the monster’s beginnings. Alongside will be a special set menu inspired by the anti-hero. Expect dishes such as Gojira volcano ramen with miso chicken and pork broth and a Godzilla inspired heat ray spicy sauce. Or, go veggie with the Kaiju volcano ramen filled with veggie broth, spicy sauce, vegetables and ganmo tofu.
There’s also a host of cocktails and desserts inspired by Godzilla too, from the King of the Monsters matcha cheesecake or the Wake Me Up in Tokyo cocktail.

Park Chinois Pianist Performance
This month sees Park Chinois, Mayfair’s hottest Asian restaurant and home of immersive entertainment, welcome cinematic pianist Okiem for a night of fine dining and music.
Taking place on 15th March, the event will kick off with a glass of pink Champagne before an indulgent four-course set menu, including foie gras, prawn and truffle dumplings; grilled black cod; beancurd and tofu with fresh abalone mushroom in a spicy bean sauce.
While dining, guests can expect an exceptional performance from Okiem. Having opened for John Legend and Prince, Okiem is known for his not-so-classical music so you can expect a night to remember.
