We find them popping up by historic venues as well as in the middle of the city and bringing with them everything from boozy hot chocolate to warming cheese fondue. We’ve rounded up eight of the best seasonal rinks in the city, so come on, get those skates on…
So you’ve found the perfect menu. It’s got everything you want on it – mouthwatering favourites, intriguing new creations, and an amazing reputation. The only trouble? The price. We’ve all got a list of dream restaurants, places we’d run to for lunch or dinner if those pesky price tags would only disappear. But if there’s one time you can justify spending so much on a meal, it’s payday. Nothing beats that feeling of a stocked-up bank account. Here’s our list of the best restaurants to visit when […]
Martello Hall, it sounds like stately home, it is in fact the latest addition to Hackney. Three storeys of faded grandeur, reclaimed decadence, providing east London with a new cocktail bar, brunch space and work hub. The first in a series of new bars to open from the Albion and East Group, Martello Hall, will be open throughout the day for hot-desking (with fast WiFi) and great coffee, you can also pick up pastries and pizza to go through ‘The Hatch’. Food is of the comfort variety, cooked on charcoal grills and in wood burning ovens. Think sausage rolls, Italian […]

Peruvian chef Virgilio Martinez’s restaurant, Central, is currently ranked 4th in The World’s 50 Best Restaurants. In an ideal world, we’d be in Peru just for a taste of his food, alas, we don’t live in an ideal world, however, this December, Martinez is hosting an exclusive one off event at LIMA Fitzrovia, bringing the flavours of Central to London. Bringing some of the rarest ingredients from Peru, Martinez will be creating meringues from clay from the altiplano (where the Andes are at their widest), he’ll be garnishing Peruvian paiche fish with edible huacatay (Peruvian black mint) flowers. There’ll also […]
With Christmas fast approaching, London has undergone a transformation and opening this season is the Courtyard at Bluebird. They’ve employed award winning florists McQueens to cover the courtyard with frosty white blooms, turning it into a fairy tale-like dreamland. In London, you need not turn too far for a mulled wine and mince pie, but why not accompany that with the voices of the children from Cameron House School who’ll be singing carols, getting you into the festive spirit. Enjoy this all while wrapped in luxurious lambswool blankets, and choosing from the various other cocktails on the winter warmer menu […]
