Central and Co

Central and Co instantly strikes me as a young, trendy, well decorated bar and diner which is perfectly situated a few minutes’ walk from the busy hubbub of Oxford Street. Large clear doors have been opened so that the tables spill out onto the street on this warm evening. Inside we are led down the long dining space and situated nearer the bar, a perfect location as soon as I spy the tempting cocktail menu. We started off with a Lemon and vanilla martini, and instantly found our favourite accompaniment for the evening. I dabbled into the Caffeine ol’Fashioned but […]

London Event Planners

If London does one thing well it is parties, from extravagant, raucous revelry to sophisticated, sleek soirees. So it is a good thing then that there is a whole host of event planners, who can pretty much perform miracles when it comes to organising killer parties. All you have to do is work out how you are going to convince everyone that you really did make that 50ft custom chandelier all by yourself…. Chance Organisations The past thirty years have seen Chance Organisations plan events from full scale award ceremonies and charity galas, to intimate dinners within a client’s house, […]

Butler’s Wharf Blackout

Bringing life and trade to London and equally dividing and connecting the population, the Thames one of London’s most iconic and striking assets will be celebrated in a ten day long festival this September. Getting involved are the D & D restaurants found along the riverside which include Le Pont De La Tour, Cantina Del Ponte, Blueprint Cafe and Butler Wharf’s Chophouse, in a series of events known as the ‘Butler’s Wharf Blackout.’ They will be submerging their venues in darkness by literally ‘blacking out’ all electricity from 8:30pm throughout the evening. Not only is this wonderfully romantic as diners […]

Brunch at The Alfred Tennyson

Having recently launched their new brunch menu, a visit to The Alfred Tennyson was must.  Once we had battled against tube delays, underground closures and a ten minute queue just to get out of the station, we found our way to quaint little Motcomb street just off bustling Sloane Street. With the tables outside nicely filling up, we actually escaped the heat and sat inside the light airy bar downstairs, which at midday was quiet with only a couple of tables, by one however it was almost full. With cool, neutral, calm colours the bar was friendly whilst also being sophsticated […]

London Speaker Hire

Hands up who went to Lovebox? Well here’s a question, what do they have in common with the BAFTAs, The Brit Awards and Charlie from Wandsworth’s house party? No not celebrities, unless Charlie had a really fantastic house party. Music would have been a good guess, almost there. The answer is in fact they all made use of London Speaker Hire. They are guys who have ‘The sound thing… sorted!’ Whether you are planning your wedding reception, the office annual party, or a big public event, the last thing you want as the music starts playing is for the speakers […]

Brunch at Honky Tonk Chelsea

For those looking for an escape from the dancing masses in Notting Hill this bank holiday look no further than Honky Tonk. This New York themed restaurant will be recreating the all-American parties, for which their nation is famous, on our side of the pond for one weekend only. Diners at the appropriately named ‘Beers, Buckets and Bands’ party will be able to feast on buckets of chicken wings and quench their thirst with refreshing beers, all whilst listening to some amazing live music. If you haven’t yet had your fill of Honky Tonk, and we’re betting you wont have, […]
