May is set to be a great month, not only do we have two  Bank Holidays (hurrah!) we will also welcome to London, Western Europe’s tallest hotel and a restaurant based on a Pullman coach. With high rise City neighbours like the Gherkin and the Cheesegrater, Jason Atherton’s new City Social is keeping good foodie company. Located on the 24th floor of the towering Tower 42 in the City, diners will have a great view of the London skyline when it opens next month with head chef Paul Walsh (Royal Hospital Road) working his magic on British ingredients. The Whip celebrates the Kentucky Derby

The second venue from the team and, in a move that, depending on the final outcome is either a brilliant marketing stunt or a bit kamikaze – or both, it’s situated opposite the UK’s busiest Mc Donalds.
