Culture vultures heading to the British Museum next month will have an additional treat in store of the foodie variety with the arrival of Benugo’s Great Court Restaurant. The redesigned venue will be situated on a mezzanine floor above the famous Reading Room and directly beneath the curved steel and glass roof of the Norman Foster-designed Great Court. Tommi’s Burger Joint

Chelsea is getting a new burger bar for 2014 with the opening of Icelandic export, Tommi’s Burger Joint on the King’s Road – following on from the success of the Marylebone original in Thayer Street.  Head chef is Siggi Gunnlaugsson who will divide his time between both sites. As with the initial venue, ingredients will be carefully sourced from trusted British suppliers, with meat from HG Walter butchers in Barons Court, and bread from Millers Bakery. Located in the Hungerford arches of the Southbank Centre, Topolski Bar and Restaurant is a newly opened venue, which celebrates the highly regarded official Second World War artist. Trip Kitchen is a new restaurant and bar just launched in Haggerston, East London and headed-up by Selin Kiazim (former Head Chef at Peter Gordon’s Kopapa restaurant). Located within a converted railway arch on Regent’s Canal, the design showcases the venue’s heritage with the original brickwork lit throughout.
