Model clothes horse

No surprises to learn that horsey royal Zara Phillips has decided to team up with outdoor label Musto by becoming the face of their brand. Princess Anne’s daughter said ‘I wear Musto clothes all the time and have done for years, so to agree a formal partnership is fantastic.’ She is seen smouldering in the shots which were taken in Devon.  ‘They make the best performance clothing for riding and sailing, and for out and about in general. It can be the wettest, coldest day out riding and I know I’ll be kept totally warm and dry,’ she added. But […]

Considering all the furore surrounding Sophie’s weight – she denied having an eating disorder when her weight plummeted from a rounded size 16 to a svelte size 8 –  since her career as a model took off, it will be of interest to some to see the kinds of recipes she […]

Prada opens in Madrid

This April Prada has opened yet another store. This time it is in prime location, Calle Serrano, Madrid, also known as a haven for the luxury shopper. Replacing the original store, opened in 1986 and situated just round the corner, the new store holds only women’s clothing, while the old store will be refurbished and reinvented to sell the men’s collection. Designed by architect Roberto Bachiocchi, the interior remains faithful to the ubiquitous Prada theme. Linen material and ‘Prada green’ colouring are heavily prominent throughout the 5000 sq foot shop. Set over two floors, the ground floor houses the accessories, […]

With such a successful turnout, the normally intimate Valmont was soon overflowing with guests dining on oysters and champagne. Address books were out and it was finally a chance for all the members and supporters to meet up and chat. With such an eclectic gathering there was plenty of lively discussion and useful networking. Ice sculptures, cocktails and short dresses all marked the start of spring and the revellers were keen […]

Techno Tricks

Remember the Prada robot tags of yore? The iconic brand has reinvented the concept to bring us the Prada Techno Tricks, which embrace not only the recycling concerns of modern society but also the frivolous fun we are now more inclined to buy into, given the tragic financial status. Bags are an investment, bag charms are for kicks. The hand-crafted pieces are embellished with small metal parts that come straight from the workbenches of the atelier. The head is made of Plexiglass, with mother-of-pearl print, and the eyes are two star head screws, while the body is covered in saffian […]
