What a Film

And this is what exactly? Apart from being a film called The Town That Boars Me it has a cast that must have been put together by a team of casting directors who sat there and thought, ‘how can we make this film in to a complete joke.’ Is there anyone in this film who can act? Or is at least an actor/actress? The cast: Kelly Osbourne, Sadie Frost, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Natt Weller, Jodie Harsh and Zandra Rhodes. The only two people I would be remotely interested in seeing in a film are not in it. So the only two […]

Ackroyd & Harvey

If you’ve been enjoying the Wimbledon tennis over the last two weeks then you may have come across this extraordinary artwork by British artists Ackroyd and Harvey. The brief was to create a unique artwork using the medium of grass. From a distance the artwork looks like a monochrome photograph, a bit closer and you realise it is made from living grass. The pair have created artworks and living installations all over the world, including on the exterior of London’s National Theatre and the ‘Big Chill’ festival in the UK last summer. http://www.artsadmin.co.uk/projects/artist.php?id=40

Think Pink

The first and only vodka to be created especially for women, contemporary and sophisticated Pinky is as stylish as anything you’ll see on the catwalk. The chic spirit is hand blended with violets, rose petals and wild strawberries, giving it a soft pink hue and resulting in a delicate but flavoursome drink – perfect for a refreshing springtime cocktail. Hailed as ‘the world’s most beautiful vodka’, Pinky is as attractive to the eye as it is […]

Hairywood

Hairywood In London Hairywood? Don’t you mean Hollywood? There is something strange in Covent Garden. It looks a little like a huge brown box with a room with a window on top. Very strange indeed. But this is in fact an art installation focused on different views, especially of Covent Garden.  Take a different look at Covent Garden Piazza and the surrounding area by stepping up a level. From the 20th of June the Hairywood, a 6-metre urban tower designed by Eley Kishimoto, will take up residency in Covent Garden Piazza. The tower plays with the idea to changing space […]

Krug soars away

A manifest expression of near-unattainable luxury, the Krug Balloon is an airborne experience illuminating the freshness, power and finesse of the gleaming, gold Krug Grande Cuvée. Krug’s eight guests, a flight commander and waiter will soar in the arctic-white basket, suspended by a giant white orb. Extracted from the chaotic march of time, suffused in the rhythms of nature’s soft silence, select Krug balloonists will experience a private, out-of-this-world poetic expression of discerning individuality. Panos Sarantopoulos, Krug president and CEO, has invited master craftsmen Bruno Domeau and Philippe Pérès, artisans of bespoke luxury, to customise the basket with an overlay […]

The season for fabulous hats is looming. With Royal Ascot approaching there is one name on everyone’s lips.
