The lack of Halloween parties taking place this year brings with it a lack of Insta opportunities for your grid, but there’s a pop-up hitting London this weekend that’s sure to sort that out.

In true Halloween (and slightly American) style, Covent Garden is to play host to a pop-up pumpkin market, full to bursting with over 200 pumpkins and the ultimate list of basic Instagram fodder (that we all secretly love), from pumpkin spice lattes to pumpkin cocktails, autumnal soups to warm you up to blood orange margaritas that will blow away the cobwebs.

The iconic London location will open its first ever Pumpkin Market on Friday 30th and Saturday 31st October, bringing a host of seasonal treats for all of the family. It’s being created in partnership with Classic Veg Box home delivery and New Covent Garden Wholesale Market, and will see the space return to its roots – the market was once a bustling fruit and veg cornucopia – and see the likes of over 200 pumpkins, 14 varieties of British squashes and a selection of French ornamental gourds take to the stands. Whether you’re there to pick up ingredients to make an autumnal feast or to decorate your Halloween table with, there will be plenty to see and shop.

Over 200 pumpkins and the ultimate list of basic Instagram fodder (that we all secretly love), from pumpkin spice lattes to pumpkin cocktails, will be on offer.

Plus, making the space even more Instagrammable will be a stunning backdrop of fresh autumn flowers provided by the seriously talented florist, Maison De Fleurs.

Covent Garden is well known for drenching itself in Christmas cheer and you can still expect that this year despite the pandemic, but for 2020 they’re getting the Halloween celebrations in too with a wealth of things to do for both children and grown-ups.

Stop by The Ivy Market Grill for blood orange margaritas and pumpkin spiked lattes, or head to Buns & Buns for a mandarin spritz cocktail or special pumpkin soup. There will be ‘Rumpy Pumpkin’ cocktails and cinnamon and orange hot chocolates to be had at Gentlemen Baristas, as well as an ‘invisible’ sticky toffee pudding – it comes covered in candy floss with hot caramel sauce – that’s destined for a spot on your Stories.

Plus, everyone’s favourite macaron shop, Ladurée, will be gifting a free brownie to children who stop by in fancy dress on Saturday 31st October. If that’s not a reason to dress up, we don’t know what is.

The Covent Garden pop-up Pumpkin Market will be open Friday 30th and Saturday 31st October 2020.
