The Best Films To Watch At The Cinema This Month
Keen for something to watch in cinemas this month? From huge sci-fi epic Dune Part Two to riotous comedy Drive Away Dolls March has plenty of big releases. Here’s everything you need to watch:
Lisa Frankenstein
Kathryn Newton stars in this 80s set comedy horror film coming to cinemas this month, playing Lisa, a lonely teenager who is disturbed and shaken after seeing her mother murdered with an axe. She finds solace and companionship though in the reanimated corpse of a Victorian man (played by Cole Sprouse), whom she decides to befriend and tries to mold into a perfect man. Together, they head off on a quirky and sometimes murderous journey as they discover themselves- and it’s one with a dose of 80s nostalgia too.
Lisa Frankenstein also stars Liza Soberano and Joe Chrest and is written by Juno and Jennifer’s Body writer Diablo Cody. It’s also directed by Zelda Williams, daughter of Robin.
release date: March 1st
Drive-Away Dolls
Ethan Coen splits from the Coen Brothers duo to direct Drive-Away Dolls, a new comedy road movie that mixes in crime drama, and stars Margaret Qualley and Geraldine Viswanathan. Jamie (Qualley) and Marian (Viswanathan) are two lesbian friends who take themselves out on a road trip, as Marian’s introvertedness gives Jamie the idea of a fresh start. They plan to go from Philadelphia down to Tallahassee in Florida, but it turns out it won’t all be plain sailing: the two women end up entangled in a criminal conspiracy that spins out of control. The criminals though aren’t exactly competent- and what follows is a riotous comedy that’s good fun.
Pedro Pascal, Bill Camp, Colman Domingo, Beanie Feldstein and Matt Damon co-star.

Dune Part Two
One of the most anticipated movies of the year, Dune Part Two is definitely one to go and see on the big screen. Continuing the story based on the much-loved sci-fi novel, Dune Part Two sees Paul Atreides (Timothée Chalamet) as he joins forces with Chani (Zendaya) as the two of them seek to unite the people of the planet Arrakis (known as the Fremen) to fight against the villainous Baron Harkonnen (Stellan Skarsgärd). He’s also waging a vengeful war against the conspirators who destroyed and killed his family, and Paul will have to make daunting choices that could decide the fate of the universe.
It’s being tipped by critics and early reaction as even more epic in scale than the first, and stars an impressive cast that includes Rebecca Ferguson, Josh Brolin, Austin Butler, Florence Pugh, Christopher Walken and Léa Seydoux. For more picture and booming sound, make sure to watch Dune: Part Two in IMAX.

She’s invited to accept a role in a convent based in Italy’s countryside and takes the opportunity to spend time in the beautiful picturesque surroundings and find fulfillment. However, all is not what it seems, and Cecilia soon finds herself escaping dark, terrifying forces. Disturbing things start happening, and the trailer indicates that something horrifying lives inside her – creepy!
The psychological horror also stars Simona Tabasco, of The White Lotus fame, and is set to hit cinemas on 22nd March. It’s not one to miss if you love a good scare.

If Beale Street Could Talk actress Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor plays Wilkerson, who is dealing with a difficult personal tragedy in her life and sets off on a global journey across Germany, India, and the US to research the caste systems in the history of each country.
She investigates the possible links between the past events of the three nations, and the film tackles themes not often explored in entertainment. Walking Dead and The Bear star Jon Bernthal costars as Isabel’s husband, alongside Victoria Pedretti, Nick Offerman, Emily Yancy and Niecy Nash.
