It is time for the new looks for Spring 2010 to hit the shops and with it we are clambering to find out the must have styles of 2010.  One in particular seems set to stamp its mark afresh on the fashion world.  The bold and bright prints of Africa are the patterns of this season’s hottest wardrobes.

SUNO, which is split between New York and Kenya, was formed in 2008 and is creating just such striking garments.  After spending ten years travelling around Africa collecting textiles Max Osterweis started up SUNO in the big apple and Nairobi.   With the design and development happening in New York (aided by the highly skilled garment district), the patterns are then whisked off to Kenya, where they are artfully assembled in a small workshop.

His garments are adorned with unique and vibrant prints inspired from his travels; from black and white check to a playful amalgamation of stunning blues, yellows and pinks.

This season it’s in with the bold and the beautiful and out with block colour – SUNO has definitely got this look sussed.  For more information go to
