Nobu Matshuisa, master of maki, prince of ponzu and the man behind sushi benchmark, Nobu will be granting Londoners a fabled audience next weekend when he’ll host three consecutive Umami and Saki dinners at Nobu Park Lane.
A strictly limited number of guests will be able to hear him describe the tradition, design, and creation of his world class cuisine and experience his famous Umami dishes accompanied with a selection of Sake designed to complement the flavours of each.
During the course of the dinner, ‘Nobusan’ will expand on the theory of Umami – the curious construction of flavours resulting in that much-lauded fifth taste that has fascinated scientists for generations. Highlights from the menu include King crab tempura with amazu ponzu and Grilled wagyu steak with Jerusalem artichokes, nameko mushroom and sansho pepper sauce.
11-13 February, £250 per person
