It’s the perfect time to be bidding farewell to 2011 with a good tipple. But do you want to try something new?

Head to the Cinnamon Club – Vivek Singh’s impressively gourmet Indian restaurant in Westminster – for a set of brand new cocktails that look set to raise the bar on the already-popular existing list.

Mixologist Salvatore D’Amico, has devised a menu of 15 winter cocktails. Two highlights:

‘Don’t Mess With Naga’ ..made with Plata tequila, caramel liquor, lime juice, green-pear syrup and Naga Bitter – made using high-proof, eight-year-old Bourbon and Naga Chillies. They’re the world’s hottest and administered with a pipette for optimum theatricality.

‘Glorious Day’ … a whisky, ginger eau-de-vie, lemon juice concoction, with clove syrup, egg white, ginger ale, topped with nutmeg dust. Served in a pewter mug.

All cocktails start from £10. A suggestion? Pair them with some nibbles: garlic and herb naan with dips, crisp whitebait with carom seed and chilli served with masala mayonnaise, and laverstoke park lamb seekh. Just saying …
