It offers some of the best views over London. But it delivers some of the best food, too. But now it's December, Skylon – the restaurant situated within the Royal Festival Hall – is getting festive. Its Finnish Executive Chef, Helena Puolakka, has created a special £65-a-head five course Christmas Dinner for Christmas Eve.


On the menu?

1. Cream of Jerusalem artichoke, horseradish cream.
2.Butter poached lobster with cashew nuts, pink grape fruit chilli and mango.
3. Pan-fried foie gras, smoked eel and granny smith salad, poppy seed dressing.
4. Ballotine of turkey, cocotte potatoes, chipolatas, cranberry sauce

 

And to finish? A Christmas pudding with brandy butter.
