If you thought hunting for Easter eggs was just for the kids you evidently haven’t been on a Fabergé egg hunt! Starting today and running for the 40 days and nights up until Easter, 200 Fabergé eggs created by artists, designers, architects and jewellers will go on display across the capital – you just need to find them. But we’ll give you a clue, two gorgeous eggs decorated by Sophie Conran and Rhea Thierstein were installed last night at the Jumeirah Carlton Tower and Jumeirah Lowndes Hotel. In fact, Rhea is our new style crush. The artist and set designer has worked for Mulberry, Bombay Sapphire and Vogue, created a window for Selfridges and art directed on the video for Jessie J’s Price Tag. She’s passionate about the Elephant Family and Action for Children charities supported by the Big Egg Hunt and her egg highlights the destruction of the environment and her desire to bring it back to health. So join the hunt and also show your support by filling up on special dishes such as Snow eggs with caramel sauce or Eggs Royal at the Rib Room and Lowndes Bar & Kitchen. Jumeirah is making a donation to the cause for each dish ordered from the specially created menus.
