Do you like Carluccio's? Good. So do we.
Good news, then, to hear that yet another is opening in the capital – yet this one comes with a bonus.
Situated on Marylebone's Paddington Street, Carluccio's Italian restaurant – famous for its wonderful range of pastas ( Vongole in Bianco is our favourite), meat dishes and hearty breakfasts (Colazione Magnifica is wonderful) – is opening with a twist. This W1 branch will come – in the authentic Milanese tradition – with its very own Aperitivo Bar.
In this elegant, high-stooled area, you can pick up some tasty small-plated dishes, or 'Stuzzichini', as the Italians call it. But then, the alcohol is worth noting, too … Sanguinello (vodka with sparkling blood orange juice) for example is a good option. Or why not head for Carluccio's Aperitivo Hour? Between 5pm and 7pm, indulge in a £15 Prosecco or a pint of Peroni for £3.
One more in the capital. And what an exciting prospect this Carluccio already is.
