Have you heard of Athinagoras Kostakos?
You have now.
The all-the-rage Greek chef, who is all but 27 years of age, is bringing his expertise to London. For from tomorrow (until this Saturday) Kostakos is taking up residence (and wowing hungry visitors/guests) at The Capital Hotel, the 5* hotbed of luxury in the London's Knightsbridge.
It will come as no surprise, but Kostakos, who recently won Top Chef, a Greek culinary reality series, is the (youngest ever) Executive Chef of the Bill & Coo Suites, the boutique hotel nestled on the idyllic party island of Mykonos.
So what does one get out of Kostakos at The Capital? Well, a 3 course lunch menu is priced at £29.50, while a 3 course menu for dinner, £50.00. Bringing some early Spring/Summer Mediterranean flavours with him, the culinary giant will be creating dishes along the lines of …native lobster with Orzo pasta flavoured with ouzo and extra virgin olive oil….braised lamb shoulder baklava and Mandolato trilogy of nougat parfait.
The kitchen supremo has just ceased a similar residence at the sumptuous 5 star luxury country house hotel near Bath, Lucknam Park.
Get yourself down for at least one night of his week-long tenure at this London hotel. In the words of Woody Allen, he's worth it.
