Bermondsey Street Festival

21st September 2012

Get set for the Bermondsey Street Festival this Saturday 22 September. Continuing in the community spirit of the Queen’s Jubilee and the Olympics, the whole street will be closed off to traffic and filled with stalls, a fashion show, dog show, a pub tog-o-war, tennis competition for children and city farm animals to pet. Promoting local talent and creativity, you can also expect entertainment from local performers and musicians. Two local venues, The Garrison and Village East, will be sharing a beer tent, serving not only beer but cider and frozen margaritas too. Further cocktails include the Bitterrest Brew, a mix of lager, Campari, orange juice, egg white, fresh lemon juice and sugar; The Pinacolager, a twist on the classic made up of Mount Gay rum, fresh lime, Coco Lopez and lager; and the Lagerito a blend of tequila, Cointreau, lime juice and topped off with lager. There will also be foodie treats in the shape of The Garrison's hog roast and pulled pork sarnies plus burgers by Village East. Get involved!
