Aperitivo in Mayfair

15th November 2012

Mayfair’s Banca Ristorante Italiano has just launched its Milano Aperitivo concept – whereby an early evening drink is accompanied by a range of freshly prepared complimentary snacks and small dishes, eaten standing at the bar. From 5pm – 7:30pm on Tuesday to Friday, classic Italian aperitivo will be laid across Banca’s restaurant spanning long bar for guests to graze on while enjoying Italian cocktails, such as the Negroni, Aperol Spritz or Bellini. The authentic menu – created by Executive Chef Marzio Zacchi and Head Chef Gabriele Milani – is derived from the fare found in Milan’s smartest bars and restaurants and bite sized dishes include: Saffron Rice ‘al salto’ with Asiago Cheese, Salted Cod Fritters and Seared Octopus with Borlotti Beans & Paprika.

Launched in July, Banca is a collaboration between Arjun and Peter Waney (Zuma, Roka and La Petite Maison) and Giuliano Lotto (Aurelia and Il Baretto).
