1 Lombard Street’s chef Juri Ravagli has produced a magnificent Tudor feast for a private dining experience with a difference. The fourteen “bird-in-a-bird” roast includes quail, squab pigeon, teal, wood pigeon, French partridge, mallard, woodcock, guinea fowl, pheasant, Barbary duck, Aylesbury duck, peacock and a wild American turkey all stuffed into a goose. The birds are all deboned, individually marinated in a unique blend of herbs and spices and stuffed in succession. The roast is served with seasonal greens and a selection of root vegetables. 1 Lombard Street is one of the City’s most iconic culinary establishments. Situated in a former Grade II listed bank, owner Soren Jessen launched the restaurant in 1998 and it continues to serve comforting and classic European cuisine.
The 1 Lombard Street Tudor Roast, priced at £995 and serving 20-25 guests, requires one week’s advance notice. Bespoke menus can be created for each booking.
