A Pisco pop-up? Yes please. For four days this month commencing today, founders Jennifer and Henrietta have created a menu of Peruvian inspired eats and drinks for the second round of their The Last Days of Pisco. Visitors can savour hearty Peruvian stews – showcasing several beloved potato varieties, infused with giant corn, hunks of tender meat and handfuls of fresh herbs – all topped with goodies including aji amarillo-infused oil and quinoa croutons. A £15 ticket includes a starter bowl of ceviche, with something special for afters. Pisco itself is the un-aged grape brandy from South America found in the traditional Pisco Sour and the Piscopalian (a twist on the Negroni) But there’s lots more where that came from including the Pisco Inferno – Pisco, Velvet Falernum, lime and specially developed Inferno Bitters, using two types of Peruvian Chilli and Scotch bonnet! Or if you’re feeling the chill, how’s about some hot cocktails – hot buttered pisco and a spiced beer?
7, 8, 15,16 December, guest reservations at 7pm & 8:30pm on each day, with the bar open to all until 2am
