Limber up for spring’s must-see movie, The Great Gatsby by learning the Charleston in Claridge’s Art Deco ballroom. The hotel is partnering with London’s finest flappers, The Bee’s Knees, for monthly masterclasses in the dances of the Roaring Twenties. You’ll learn to execute authentic Charleston steps, including the scare crow, bees knees, bunny hop, fish tail and Josephine Baker and if you want to look the part as well, The Bee’s Knees will also be offering style tips on everything from sequinned headbands to strings of pearls and satin elbow-length gloves. The lessons will last for 90 minutes, after which you can mainline the restorative ‘Flapper’ cocktail which was originally created in honour of the opening of Claridge’s Ballroom in 1929

Available monthly: 25th February, 18th March, 15th April and 13th May 2013, 6.30-8.30pm, £125 pp120 minutes.
