Rock and Roll at Quaglino’s

This week, as part of Quaglino’s ongoing series of photography shows, the restaurant welcomes photographer Gered Mankowitz and his exhibition, ‘Rock and Roll’ –  a collaboration with Piccadilly Arcade’s Snap Galleries. Mankowitz has enjoyed an extensive 45 year career photographing musical royalty and this new exhibition focuses on Jimi Hendrix and The Rolling Stones. Many of the images were taken in nearby Mason’s Yard, now enjoying a musical renaissance with The Scotch. Mankowitz established his first studio there in 1963 and it’s where he shot Jimi Hendrix and his band The Experience four years later. Naturally Quaglino’s Bar Manager Michal Zawerbny has devised some exclusive cocktails to complement the exhibition, sponsored by FAIR. Vodka. Visitors can choose two serves for £15 such as the aptly titled ‘Rock n Roll’ – fresh passion fruit, vodka, goji liqueur, fresh lime juice and a dash of sugar gomme served in a chilled martini glass.
