Japanese cuisine may not be the usual fare of a traditional London boozer, but The Prince Arthur is to set to flout convention with an Oriental pop-up this month. The London Fields pub will be hosting Masterchef champion 2011 Tim Anderson in the kitchen on 26th and 27th March. Ahead of opening his brand new restaurant Nanban, Tim will give Londoners a taste of what to expect at the eagerly anticipated Shoreditch venue. Taking inspiration from the southern region of Japan, the umami-laden dishes will include Grilled sardines stuffed with mentaiko, Pork belly braised in soy sauce, and Crunchy grilled rice balls stuffed with spicy citrus-rubbed chicken. Enjoy a six-course Japanese feast for £29pp, but book fast as Tim’s appearances always sell out!
