In a recent collaboration, docklands gastropub The Gun has teamed up with Hendrick’s Gin to transform its sundeck into a brand new events space, The Gin Garden. Now open for group bookings, look to this venue for quality gin and food alfresco, all with a British twist.
Firstly, as the name suggests, expect more types of gin than you can shake a stick at: 13 exactly. Hendrick’s takes pride of place alongside top brands Tanqueray No. 10, Portobello Road, Beefeater 24, Martin Millers, No. 209 and Juinipero. That comes with special cocktails served in Hendrick’s signature teapots and ten different types of martini. Or, if that’s not your game, the traditional champagne, beer and cider are also available.
Secondly, The Gin Garden sees the British style picnic party recreated in a setting complete with deck chairs, picnic blankets, lawn games and ping-pong. This countryside style leads to all kinds of serving possibilities; imagine a market stall filled such delicious treats as pork pies, kiln roast honey salmon, scotch eggs and tomato and mozzarella salad or perhaps a picnic basket full of mini sandwiches, quiches, roast chicken, sausages and Lincolnshire Poacher Cheddar with Eccles cakes and grapes or simply the classic buffet. It’s enough to set our mouths watering.
A versatile space, The Gin Garden can host a multitude of events from product launches to waterfront weddings. Plus, with a bespoke marquee and complimentary daytime gin punch receptions this summer, there are lots of reasons to choose this new venue. And, even if your birthday’s been and gone, look out for open public events at The Gin Garden this summer, starting with the Father’s Day Ale Festival this month.
