Paradise goes back to school

3rd June 2013

Popular West London gastropub and party venue, Paradise, is launching The School of Grub, a unique summer event series hosted by some of the finest home-grown talent of food producers, artisans and critic. It pays homage to best of British food and drink. The school includes a cheese dinner with musician and farmer Alex James, a butchery course by The Ginger Pig while school term will end with a foodie quiz hosted by head mistress Kate Spicer. Lessons commence this Thursday 6 June with Mother Shuckers (try saying that after a couple of cocktails…) where the savvy oyster aficionados will be teaching guests the art of tasting, pairing and shucking. Aforementioned cocktails come courtesy of Sipsmith. The final lesson is Chocolate – hosted by Paul Young on 25 June and features a talk and masterclass on how to make your own chocolate. So whether you’re the class clown or the school swat, there’s sure to be something for everyone. Just don’t forget to do your homework and book the tickets in advance…
