As Andy Murray gets ready to try and win his third Aegon Championship title at The Queen’s Club next week, we are getting ready to head over to The Maggie’s Enclosure, the ultimate retro player’s lounge.
Situated on Fulham Road, Maggie’s Club is all about celebrating the best of the 80’s from Sonic to Margaret Thatcher, A Team to A HA and they serve Babycham! And next week they are bringing the 80s to The Queen’s Club, think Rubik’s cube tables, vintage umpire’s chairs, oversized wooden tennis rackets and ball shaped bean bags. But that is not all, not one to do things by halves, throughout the day they will be showing footage from brilliant 1980’s matches. Yes to watching legendary tennis games but double yes to seeing the legendary hair of the 1980's players.
Roller skaters will be dressed in tennis whites and Maggie’s branded visors, paying homage to 1980s tennis greats, channelling their inner Boris Becker and John McEnroe and the bar will be serving up signature drinks from Maggie’s such as Maggie’s Mugs, Watering Cans and Fishbowls.
So whether you are in to tennis or not, head over to The Maggie’s Enclosure for good old 1980’s fun. 1980's hair not required.
