Bompass & Parr to publish gustatory works

Jellymongers’ Bompass & Parr are best known for designing spectacular experiences designed to alter the taste of foods with synaesthesia, performance and setting. Their latest venture – the launch of their own publishing house, Bompass & Parr editions, has allowed them to create food publications so hairy and muscular for conventional publishing routes!

The publisher’s first book Tutti Frutti with Bompass & Parr and Friends will certainly be far from your iconic cookbook like those of Jamie Oliver. Instead this sensual book provides its readers with extraordinary imagery and provocative recipes. Pictures of pasta will be replaced by sexually and politically inspired photography geared to touch the body’s most sensual organ the belly. Recipes combine curiosity, irony and precision certain to stir up any dinner party and make any guest look twice at what’s on the end of the spoon.

Their debut cookbook which coincides with the installation of Tutti Frutti at Kew Gardens in September, will be followed by drool-worthy publications such as the world’s first “scratch ‘n’ sniff pornography which may and disgust some readers- definitely an acquired taste!
