2013 marks the centenary milestone of Indian film and there is no better place to celebrate than Cinnamon Kitchen, one of London’s best contemporary Indian restaurants. In collaboration with Picturehouse cinemas, Cinnamon Kitchen brings you “The Cinn-ema club” – 2 evenings of fiery excitement to reflect India itself!
For cinema fanatics, this promises to beat the orange Wednesday experience. Forget pick ‘n’ mix sweets, flat coke and cardboard flavored popcorn, Cinnamon Kitchen will be topping up cinema-style cups with “little bit corny cocktail” and providing chilli kick popcorn to keep you on your toes.
If that’s not enough, swap the nachos for delicate canapés such as roasted telapia with mustard and coconut, lamb kebabs; and tangy potato in semolina. So if the films don’t keep you on the edge of your seat, this exotic Dehli-style menu certainly will as you gorge on platters of love-smoked salmon with coconut and ginger, curries with pilau rice and stir-fried baby aubergines.
On the 26th and 27th July respectively, The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel and Life of Pi will be shown at Cinnamon Kitchen’s pop-up movie theatre. Located on the covered outdoor terrace, no rain can dampen this Bollywood cinematic experience!
