Thistle Marble Arch’s Glenn Miller Bar has put a modern day twist on its quintessentially British cocktail menu. Celebrity mixologist Andy Pearson has developed a range of cocktails inspired by the moods of the modern Londoner on busy Oxford Street. The newly developed menu allows for a cocktail to suit every occasion and individual. Bold luxurious choices are available to ease the hustle and bustle of the city, or as the perfect accompaniment to a warm summer evening, the citrus infused elixirs are refreshing and light.
Not only are traditional British staples such as London Dry gin found on the menu, but the Glenn Miller Bar also includes oriental and internationally inspired twists, taking inspiration from Japanese teas and Seville oranges making the bar a fresh choice for all tastes.
Noted cocktails from the menu include The Clover Club, a drink combining gin, lemon juice and egg whites to create delicate foam reminiscent of the bubbling club performances by Miller in the 1920s. Aviation, which includes gin, lemon juice and Luxardo Maraschino liqueur is also a popular choice. In further homage to Miller, French 75 served in a tulip champagne flute and cognac based reflects the elegance and sophistication of the Bar’s interior. Low lighting and plush velvet create a luxurious ambience, taking you back in time to the jazz era Miller once dominated.
Thistle Marble Arch’s Glenn Miller Bar certainly puts a twist on cocktail classics, allowing for a tipple to suit all moods and tastes.
