Harvey Nichols’ Riot of Colour Afternoon Tea

It’s the thing we dream of, a guilt free, healthy afternoon tea which is still full of cake and sandwiches. Well Harvey Nichols has answered our prayers with their new Riot of Colour afternoon tea. Arriving just in time for London Fashion Week, and combining with the launch of Harvey Nichols, ‘Riot of Colour’ Own Label food range the tea includes gluten, dairy and alcohol cakes.

But just because they are lacking in butter and flour doesn’t mean they are any less indulgent, think orange, polenta and acacia honey cake, carrot and coconut cakes with coconut oil frosting and hibiscus and rose tea scented macaroons. Sandwiches come in the form of poached chicken and avocado oil pesto, and cucumber and mascarpone.

If the thought of healthy cakes is too much to handle, then panic not, they will still be serving scones with plenty of clotted cream, and jam although it is of course reduced sugar! Accompanying the cakes and sandwiches will be a selection of the Riot of Colour teas including Prime Time.

So rest those weary Louboutin clad feet, with afternoon tea at Harvey Nichols, safe in the knowledge that ‘a moment on the lips a life time on the hips’ does not apply here.
