This weekend Paradise by Way of Kensal Green is hosting its inaugural Harvest Festival, a weekend celebration dedicated to street food, country pursuits, music and entertainment. Saturday fun includes the Street Food Market (2pm-8pm) when food trucks will be stationed in the adjacent church courtyard adjacent including Innocent Drinks, Motherclucker, Rainbofood and Dosa Deli, with all pitch fees being donated to Action Aid.
Also on Saturday will be a series of culinary classes, held in the first floor private dining and music rooms. Spitalfields Farmers (12:30pm-1:30pm, £10 entry) will be holding a gardening session on ‘Hungry Gap Vegetables’, which will cover home organic growing techniques with crops to take home and Meat 16 (2pm-4pm, £35 entry) will host ‘Meat the Sausage’ with a concise history of the sausage and lesson on how to make your own
On Sunday (noon-3pm, free) the venue’s garden will host an urban petting zoo, with pigs, chickens and sheep and plenty of bunting and straw bales while the whole weekend will see Famous Wolf Promotions host a celebration of folk music.
