Childhood friends David Bellaiche, Gabriel Cohen-Elia and Jeremy Coste have opened ‘NAC’ (North Audley Cantine) which aims to take traditional French dishes and put a creative modern twist on them: the bistro specialises in unique sharing plates and delicious desserts. Some of the most popular sharing dishes include classic macaroni and cheese with truffle, grissini-crusted veal, and oeuf parfait with forest mushrooms. If you are a pudding lover, then NAC is the place for you, with irresistible offerings such as hot churros with popping sugar, ice cream and chocolate sauce, and profiteroles with salted caramel and ice cream.
NAC also has a cocktail lounge, which features exciting cocktails to match the innovative food. The ‘Lady Grey’ cocktail includes earl grey-infused gin (which is infused in-house), vanilla, peach, lime and champagne, while the ‘BVC’ is made from chartreuse, shaken egg white, bitters, lime juice and green sugar. NAC’s three owners have diverse backgrounds, so the cocktail flavours are reminiscent of New York, Paris and Rio de Janeiro.
Relaxed and stylish, NAC’s dining room is whitewashed, with feature open brink walls, brown leather chairs and rustic wooden tables. NAC is a comfortable bistro offering exciting new flavour combinations, so if you’re in Mayfair, why not go and try it out? We definitely will be!
