This month, Floridita has launched an array of new live music nights, including ‘Rock and Roll Circus’ on Thursdays, designed to celebrate the venue’s place in music history: Floridita stands on the original sit of the famous Marquee Club which played host to many of the most influential and exciting musicians of the 60s, 70s and 80s, including Led Zeppelin, U2 and The Who.
Floridita’s ‘Rock and Roll Circus’ will feature break-through artists and talented tribute bands and acts, so guests will feel totally immersed in the rock and roll atmosphere. Floridita has also designed a special cocktail list for the music night, which aims to commemorate some of the best musicians that performed at the Marquee Club.
The other new music nights include ‘Jazz and Jive Supper Club’ on Tuesdays which will celebrate the vintage style of the 1920s, with fabulous prohibition cocktails, a new Supper Club menu, and live swing, jive and jazz musicians. Wednesdays will see the introduction of ‘Funk N’ Soul Connection’, featuring funk and soul acts and an outrageous ‘Cabaret Cocktail’ menu. Friday nights will be Havana-themed, with saucy salsa dancing and passionate Cuban artists, while Saturdays will be ‘Los Padrinos De Salsa’, celebrating the development of Cuban rhythms to create a popular new sound. Artists such as Hector Lavoe, Willie Colon and Fania Records are due to perform.
With these new themed music nights, Floridita looks like the place to be in the coming months – there is a night for everyone!
