Do you think of the Jazz Age and conclude that you were born in the wrong era? Or are you a gin fanatic? On 21st November, Gin & Jazz, the InterContinental London Park Lane’s twice monthly theatrical tribute to classic gin cocktails and Golden Age Jazz, will celebrate its 2nd birthday.
As such, Gin & Jazz will be hosting top vintage jazz band The Shirt Tail Stompers. Guests will receive a complimentary ‘Mayfair Hop’ cocktail to celebrate the occasion, which is the InterContinental’s own twist on the classic French 75 cocktail, blending Martin Miller’s Gin, fresh mint, gum syrup, Martini Bianco and champagne.
As usual, The Arch Bar’s forty different gins will be available, as well as the extensive specialty cocktail menu. The InterContinental’s Executive Chef Paul Bates has also come up with some delicious sharing platters to match the decadence of the occasion.
If you can’t make it to this one, Gin & Jazz is held on the first and third Thursdays of every month. On 5 November, The Swing Ninjas will be playing, on 19 December, Gin & Jazz will welcome FB Pocket Orchestra, and there will be a New Year’s Eve special on 31 December. If this sounds like your sort of thing, entrance is complimentary, but tables do need to be booked in advance. So dust off your flapper dress and headdress and shimmy on down to Gin & Jazz.
