Orrery Winter Retreat

High above Marylebone High Street, away from the hustle and bustle below is Orrery’s hidden terrace and this year it has been given a bit of makeover to turn it into a snug winter retreat; with toasty heaters,  cosy blankets and the twinkle of lanterns.

They’ve added a delicious selection of ‘Winter Warmers’ to their drinks list such as Warm Old Fashioned with Woodford Reserve, angoustura bitters, orange and maraschino cherry; Apple Pie with Dupont vsop, apple juice, nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves, vanilla, buttered rum, orange and sugar; and Minty, a blend of fresh mint tea, honey, ginger and lemon.

And undeniably one of the best things about winter is the comfort food – so Orrery are serving up hearty yet elegant dishes; think truffle risotto, a rich Lobster bisque and braised shin of beef  a la Bordelause.

The winter terrace is open now until the beginning of March so will see us through the cold months until hopefully the sun will start to shine!
