We think Mark Twain put it best when he said ‘New Orleans food is as delicious as the less criminal forms of sin’, so make sure to get sinful at Dalston Pond which Sassafras has transformed to bring the indominatable spirit of New Orleans all the way to London.
Kicking off on Thursday 20th with a photography exhibition of New Orleans and Louisiana since the 70s, the weekend will follow on until the Sunday where there will be supper clubs, an open bar and New Orleans music until the early hours. In a location that is less fuss and more food be prepared for some true belt looseners on the Saturday with a Chicken and Crawfish terrine with salad and toast and dishes of braised pork belly with stewed okra and tomatoes on a bed of delicious, dirty rice.
And if you’re dragging your heels at the end of the night don’t worry! Come back for brunch the next day, where an aunthetic New Orleans breakfast will be served with ‘Eggs Louis Armstrong’ including poached eggs, shredded pork and hollandaise sauce.
A weekend of cocktails, live music and fantastic food, forget you’re in Dalston and embrace the rich sights and sounds of New Orleans for three jam packed days and nights.
