The pizzeria, Bianco43, have recently opened their third venue in Trafalgar Square, serving Italian cuisine. The venue is a stone’s throw from Charing Cross station and is located in an elegant building with views of the Trafalgar Square monuments.
The main dishes comprise mostly of pizza and pasta dishes with a few meat-focussed dishes like Sword Fish Steak, Chicken Breast Fillet and Mixed Seafood Grill. I opted for the Ravioli in the butter and sage sauce but it was unavailable so I went with the Gnocchi with the same sauce instead. It wasn’t unpleasant but definitely lacked any flavour; the sauce had a nice consistency but tasted of nothing except a slight tang of butter. My guest had better luck with the Sea bass Fillet which was well cooked and served with delicious roasted potatoes.
The desserts were the real winners; a rich and creamy Panna Cotta with a raspberry coulis and Profiteroles. The Profiteroles were a portion of two with a chocolate ganache topping and thick cream inside, covered in dusted chocolate and a drizzle of chocolate sauce.
Bianco43 is a great place for a date, or given its central location, just to stop off and enjoy a meal before continue your night in London.
